Honorable prospective delegates, Esteemed Advisors and my dear friends,

It is an absolute privilege to welcome you to the seventh edition of CBIT Model United Nations Conference, organized in collaboration with the United Nations Information Center for India and Bhutan. To my elation, I will be your courteous host and promise to deliver an experience worth treasuring.

After six successful conferences which hosted the finest delegates from various parts of the world, we have carved a niche for ourselves as the best conference in the country. CBITMUN has always strived to provide an enriching experience to the delegates whilst professing the highest quality of debate. But we aren’t just about the conference experience; our goal lies in the very Principles of the United Nations which is to promote social progress.

Being the first Model United Nations Conferences in Hyderabad, it is our moral obligation to stand out as leaders to pave way for a better implementation of the MUN to bring a significant change to peoples’ lives. Through this edition, we wish to do exactly that by extending the scope of the conference from board room discussions to foreground implementation.

The days leading up to the conference will see an increase in activities which would give you opportunities to give back to the very society we live in. Either it be by spending a day at the orphanage or, by teaching kids about MUN, we go beyond the four walls of the conference to effectuate a change, however small it may be. And finally, the days of the conference will be those of cutthroat competition, opinion clashes, severing and mending of uncalled for alliances and a colossal amount of fun.
